What a finish!!! One bad hole on the front side and Charlie was three down.He played even with his partner the leader until 16 .16th Hole Par 5---20' deep bunker left of the green .Charlie is down 3 shots.Pulled his drive left down in the ravine but manages a 5 wood out to the right rough.Side hill lie ball above his feet Charlie hits a 5 wood towards the TV cameras and over the trees landing on the green ending up 9' from the pin.Fantastic!!Drains the putt for a birdie 4 and his playing partner makes a 6..17th hole Alcatraz--Island green--Same as TPC Sawgrass.Charlie plays a 4 wood to middle of green-right over the pin and ends up 25 feet..Knocks the putt within 16" and taps in for a par.Meanwhile his playing partner hits in in the water ending up with a 5.Charlie 1 up going into 18.His drive barely gets over the water but manages to end up center of fairway.Hits a 4 wood down to 105 yards.Hits a punch 9 iron to 4' and knocks in the putt for the victory!!What a great finish.A finish with a lot of heart!!! Thanks for following along. We appreciate your support.Charlie Reiter Golf Channel Amateur Tour National Champ!!!!!

WOW.After starting the day two shots behind the leader, Charlie has moved 2 shots into the lead.Good solid play all day and some great pars on a very long Triolgy golf course.Mostly all par 4's were driver-3wood or 5 wood or 4 wood but Charlie kept it on or right around the green.Played the par 5's strong and is currently the par 5 stroke average leader after 3 rounds. If his solid play continues today we could have a National Champ. Thanks for following!!!!
